Description
A growing CPA Firm is looking for a Tax Manager toassist in the management and growth of our tax practice. Well-qualified applicants will possess strong analytical skills and professional competence. This position offers growth potential to partner for the ideal candidate.
Responsibilities:
Manage the preparation and review of tax projects by coordinating staffing and workflow
Prepare and review high-level tax returns and quarterly/yearly tax projections
Manage tax compliance and tax planning process
Manage client budgets and production goals
Build new and existing client relationships and demonstrate knowledge of client business
Improve processes by developing or implementing best practices
Maintain effective control procedures over all aspects of the tax process
Create and provide training on tax programs and projects for new hires of all levels
Mentor staff to greater levels of effectiveness and engagement
Develop in-house training for CPE on relevant topics and industries
Provide support with various special tax-related projects and assist in preparing proposals for new clients
Requirements:
Associates or Bachelors Degree in Accounting
CPA Firm/Public Accounting experience – focusing on Tax Preparation
Active CPA License
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
Previous experience in a client facing accounting/tax role
Preferred Skills:
Previous supervisory experience
Experience with ProSystem fx Tax, Quickbooks, Sage and CCH Engagement
MBA or Masters in Accounting or Tax
Compensation:
$115,000-$150,000
Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications
