About Us:
Arabesque Conservatory of Music is expanding its educational offerings to include sports, specifically baseball, tailored to meet the needs of individuals with special needs.
Position Overview:
As an In-Home Baseball Instructor with Arabesque Conservatory of Music, you will deliver one-on-one baseball training to individuals with special needs, directly in their homes or at nearby suitable facilities.
This role involves teaching the fundamentals of baseball, including hitting, fielding, and throwing, while adapting to the unique abilities and learning styles of each student.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess each student's physical abilities, baseball skills, and goals to develop customized baseball training programs.
- Teach basic to advanced baseball skills, focusing on proper techniques for hitting, fielding, throwing, and base running.
- Provide supportive, engaging, and adaptive instruction to foster a love for the game and encourage physical activity and skill development.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting training plans and teaching methods as necessary to maximize learning and enjoyment.
- Maintain regular communication with parents, guardians, and any involved professionals to provide updates on progress and discuss strategies for integrating baseball into the student's lifestyle.
- Ensure a safe and productive learning environment, emphasizing safety protocols and injury prevention during training sessions.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Baseball Coach or Instructor with a strong ability to teach various aspects of the game.
- Previous experience or training in working with individuals with special needs is highly preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- A nurturing, patient, and encouraging approach to teaching.
- Must have reliable transportation for inhome visits or travel to suitable nearby facilities.
- Available to commit to a contract position with flexible scheduling based on student needs.
Contract Details:
- Instructors are expected to provide their own baseball equipment for lessons, including bats, balls, gloves, and any other necessary training aids.
