This position is located at the J. J. Pickle Research Campus in North Austin.
Purpose
Responsibilities:
- To work on development and maintenance of computer software related to TexNet.
- Coordinate with the TexNet manager and PI all necessary new software developments and TexNet HUB hardware needs.
- Provide results and present in our stakeholder groups and USGS/ANSS meetings.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, software and systems engineering informatics, or related field. Hand on experience in software development. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in groups and independently, sometimes in demanding conditions. Ability to manage complex systems. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to meet deadlines and deliverables. Professional demeanor.

Specific background and hands-on experience with software development, and web services. Experience in using Python, C++, CSS and HTML is preferred. Willingness and ability to adapt to changing research programs and project needs.
Salary Range
$62,000 + depending on qualifications
