Are you passionate about wine and looking for a challenging and rewarding career in sales? Vintures Wine distribution is seeking a highly motivated and talented salesperson to join our growing team covering a territory in Houston, Texas as our sales representative for both on & off-premise sales.


We are Vintures, a wine distribution & import company without compromise We champion those harder to find exceptional wineries, with impeccable standards, and practices.

Texas is growing Always focused on estate and family-owned wineries with sustainable viticulture and wine making practices.

Vintures hand selects wineries from all over the world with more than 170 producers and around 600 wines in our book.

The book is expanding rapidly and are seeking wine lovers who want to grow with us


The ideal sales team members should be able to achieve growth within an assigned territory by effectively selling our products while making sure our customers receive excellent service.


Our current business in Houston includes serving several HEB's, Central Market, independent retailers, numerous top restaurants, wine bars & country clubs.

Our warehouse is in Houston and we have daily deliveries to the territory.


Job description:

  • Work with and support our current senior sales rep for the area
  • Take over certain on and off premise accounts
  • Develop and maintain relationships with current and potential customers within the assigned territory
  • Expand our portfolio within existing customers
  • Open new on
- and off-premise customer placements

  • Analyze the assigned territory and create daily and weekly call patterns and target accounts.
  • Work with our customers to plan staff training, wine dinners and other events
  • Participate in wine tastings and other promotional events
  • Achieve sales targets and quotas

Required skills and attributes:

  • Wine knowledge and previous experience within the wine industry is preferred but not required.
  • A strong passion for wine and customer service.
  • Goal oriented, focused, motivated, and assertive individual who needs little direction or supervision.
  • Must have excellent verbal communications skills to effectively communicate with customers. Ability to cold call with confidence.
  • Strong work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Organizational skills. Ability to manage time effectively and keep track of sales activity and customer relationships and needs
  • Working knowledge and proficiency in computer skills
  • Must own and be able to maintain a vehicle in good working condition. Vehicle must have all tags, and personal liability insurance. Must hold a valid driver's license.
  • May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 45lbs.

Compensation:
Commission with a draw while building the market. $40k+ depending on sales results
