Mercy Medical Center, Life Labs, work independently servicing area nursing homes.
Responsible for providing skilled phlebotomy in the Springfield, MA area. Your work is vital to the diagnosis, treatment and care of patients. Must have dependable transportation.
What you will do:
- Receives assignments, reviews labels and/or requisitions, and obtains required supplies and equipment necessary to carry out tasks.
- Processes requisitions for completeness, check appropriate signatures obtained, entering patient data, test requested, requesting physician and billing information into computer. Verifies billing and insurance information.
- Drives personal vehicle to travel to client locations and SPHS facilities. Completes appropriate mileage forms on a daily/weekly basis.
Work Hours/Shift:
- Fulltime, Day Shift (available for early starttime 45am, use of own vehicle, mileage reimbursement is provided)
Minimum Requirements:

Education: High school diploma/GED

Certification: Nat'l Phlebotomy Certification preferred. Valid driver's license in good standing required by the Commonwealth of MA.

Experience: 1 year of experience, preferred.

Skills: Strong interpersonal skills; strong phlebotomy skills. Adaptability and flexibility necessary for work schedule and patient care requirements. Good command of the English language and medical terminology.

Pay:
$ $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
