Solar Roof Technician - Bloomington, United States - Blue Sky Energy Solutions

Description

• Work with crew members on layout and assembly of solar panels and racking hardware
• Mechanical/structural mounting of racking, modules and electrical equipment
• Properly repair and seal roof penetration
• Perform maintenance on the solar system as needed
• Prepare inventory for installs and document completion of installation
• Work well within a team environment
• Project clean up
• Attend training sessions on new products, installation methodology and safety

• Experience with working on roofs and elevated surfaces is a plus
• Solar or construction experience is a plus
• Must be very reliable, dependable, and team player
• Must be able to routinely lift 50lbs
• Ability to work in extreme environments (example: heat, cold, crawl spaces, etc.)
• Must be willing and able to climb ladders, stairs, work on rooftops and be able to work on your feet for long periods of time
• Basic computer skills
• High school diploma or GED required
• Excellent customer service skills required
• Must be able to successfully pass a preemployment criminal check, MVR and drug screen
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Able to work with power tools
• Must follow all safety policies and standards for working
