Job Summary:


The Donor and Volunteer Engagement Manager plays a vital role in supporting the organization's financial goals and volunteers' engagement efforts.

This position is responsible for managing donor relations, gift transactions, and volunteer programs. This position collaborates with the Development Team and reports directly to the Director of Development.


Essential Functions:


Donor Relations/Database Management:


  • Manage the organization's fund development database (Bloomerang), ensuring accurate and uptodate donor records.
  • Process and manage gift transactions, including acknowledgment and thankyou correspondences.
  • Prepare reports and queries from the database as requested by the CEO, Board of Directors, or Development Team.
  • Coordinate stewardship activities, including the preparation of acknowledgment letters and donor segmentation.
  • Collaborate with the finance department to ensure data accuracy and proper donation collection.
  • Assist in developing annual and individual fundraising appeals.

Volunteer engagement:


  • Proactively identify volunteer needs and opportunities within the organization.
  • Match volunteers with appropriate roles to provide a meaningful experience for both the volunteers and the organization.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to recruit, train, and manage volunteers.
  • Onboard all volunteers and interns into Girls Inc. of Worcester ensuring a smooth transition and alignment with organizational values.
  • Maintain a record of all volunteer opportunities, volunteers, and corporate volunteer contacts in Bloomerang.
  • Create reports and analyze volunteer programs to measure their impact and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Development to create an annual volunteer engagement strategy.
  • Provide stewardship and appropriate acknowledgment of volunteers' contributions.
  • Support departmental efforts, such as special events, as part of the fund development team.

Work as the Board Liaison:


  • Maintain the Board calendar, including scheduling Board meetings and Governance Committee meetings.
  • Prepare Board meetings packets/materials and maintain Board Google Drive.
  • Track Board attendance and annual giving in a spreadsheet and ensure it is up to date.
  • Attend Board and Governance committee meetings to take meeting minutes.

Marketing and Communications:


  • Some social media posting and basic website maintenance (soft changes).

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or 3 years of development experience.
  • Experience using Bloomerang or similar fund development databases.
  • Basic knowledge and experience using social media/website maintenance tools.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with donors, volunteers, and staff.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detailorientated and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Knowledge of fundraising principles and techniques.

Pay:
$48, $55,000.00 per year
