    Position: VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) Coordinator Assistant

    S&K Sales Co., a family-owned Military Resale Broker, is looking to fill an entry level, vendor managed inventory coordinator assistant role with the opportunity for growth. This position requires an individual who is highly motivated and exhibits strong organizational & communication skills. This individual will work with numerous CPG (consumer product goods) companies around the coordination and management of inventory provided by them to ensure optimal levels are maintained. This entry-level position offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in inventory management, supply chain operations, and vendor relations within a dynamic work environment.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Assists in monitoring inventory levels and trends to ensure adequate stock availability.
    • Resolve discrepancies between manufacturer shipments and distributor receipts.
    • Maintain records of all stock movements, including orders, receipts, and shipments.
    • Support the processing of purchase orders and ensure accuracy in product specifications and quantities.
    • Coordinate with vendors to confirm order details, delivery schedules, and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
    • Monitor order fulfillment and address any delays or problems proactively.
    • Serve as a point of contact for vendors regarding inventory-related inquiries and issues.
    • Build and maintain positive relationships with vendors to ensure efficient communication and collaboration.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

    • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
    • Problem solving and analysis, with careful and systematic evaluation of information, to identify underlying issues, root causes and possible alternatives.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other inventory management software is a plus.
