JOB OBJECTIVE
The
Electrical Project Manager will oversee and be involved in a construction project.

They will be expected to create and manage a budget, obtain the correct permits to start building, communicate the client's goals to those parts of the project, and coordinate equipment and materials.

The
Electrical
Project Manager will be required to be at the job site many days a week to guarantee the project is up to standards and meets the original stated requirements.


REQUIREMENTS
EXPERIENCE- 5+ years of experience in construction with some emphasis on project management.

  • Bachelor's in building construction, Construction Management, Civil Engineer
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and various drawings.
  • Strong experience in Electrical.
  • Experience and proficiency in navigating Google and Microsoft products.
  • Display knowledge in construction, architecture, and engineering principles.
  • Familiar with contract and subcontract documents, involving terms and conditions.
  • Ability to create and manage budgets, schedule, and control costs.
  • Outstanding leadership and management skills with effective communication.
  • Must be willing and able to follow all instructed safety regulations.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License.
  • Must pass drug and background check.


KNOWLEDGE- The Electrical Project Manager will support the capital projects group and site operations activities with electrical engineering principles, expertise, leadership in solving and improving the equipment, processes, and procedures at the site.


  • This will include equipment and infrastructure troubleshooting, replacement, design improvements, technological standardization and innovation, maintenance strategies, and optimization opportunities.
  • Involvement includes project scope development, project estimating, project review, project management, design, and implementation.
  • Develop project scopes and estimates, write equipment specifications, review quotes, and recommend equipment and materials, size cables, conduit, starters, VFDs, and power distribution equipment.
  • Manage project specific thirdparty design and construction contractors, schedules, scope development and control, budgets, checkout, commissioning, startup, and other engineering/management activities.
  • Develop the scope and cost estimates for capital projects and participate in justification of projects, specification reviews, drawing reviews, safety reviews, and other project deliverable document reviews.
  • Provide detail design support and provide technical assistance to operations, purchasing, project management and construction management.
  • Communicate with internal customers, site leadership, project stakeholders, contractors, and vendors.
  • Provide pre and post startup assistance to Construction and Operations to assure that all systems are functioning properly.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or equivalent
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Employee will be required to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting and lifting.
  • Will talk and hear to communicate.
  • Will use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull: objects, materials, controls and tools.
  • May be required to pick up, lift, carry and move up to 50lbs.
  • Will work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and may occasionally work off platforms/ scaffolding using appropriate fall protection requirements.
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold and wind) while wearing appropriate PPE.
  • Will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: hard hat, safety glasses/spoggles, ear plugs, masks/respirators, hivis safety vests, leather gloves and leather steeltoed work boots.
