    Serenity Treatment Center, Inc. is dedicated to providing comprehensive support and care for individuals recovering from substance use and addiction. We believe in the power of peer support and are committed to helping individuals rebuild their lives through compassionate guidance and evidence-based practices.

    Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Certified Peer Recovery Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will provide invaluable peer support to individuals navigating the challenges of addiction recovery. As a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist, you will serve as a role model, mentor, and advocate, helping clients develop the skills and resources necessary for sustained recovery.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide one-on-one peer support to individuals in various stages of addiction recovery.
    • Foster a supportive and nonjudgmental environment for clients to share their experiences and challenges.
    • Assist clients in setting and achieving their recovery goals through personalized action plans.
    • Facilitate group sessions focused on topics such as coping skills, relapse prevention, and healthy lifestyle choices.
    • Advocate for clients within the community and share resources to ensure access to necessary services and support.
    • Maintain accurate and confidential records of client interactions and progress.

    Requirements:

    • Certification as a Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) required.
    • Valid Maryland driver's license.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish rapport with diverse individuals.
    • Excellent communication and active listening skills.
    • Empathy, compassion, and a nonjudgmental attitude towards individuals in recovery.
    • Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.
    • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
