Grecian Delight | Kronos Foods Corp is seeking a 1st shift Lift Truck Operator (Double Rider) for our Inventory Department in our Glendale Heights location.

As our Lift Truck operator you would be responsible for accurate and efficient inventory transactions in a fast-paced environment where attention to safety, quality, and productivity is essential, working in a USDA food manufacturing and distribution facility.

Grecian Delight | Kronos Foods Corp is a leading manufacturer of Greek and Mediterranean foods for foodservice, national chain and retail grocery, specialty, and warehouse club businesses.

We have manufacturing facilities in Elk Grove Village and Glendale Heights. We manufacture and distribute specialty meats, flatbreads, dips, spreads, and sauces.

What you are going to be doing

  • Receive ingredients and packaging materials for production.
  • Check for condition of materials and alert management of any problems.
  • Perform required inventory transactions using handheld RF scanners or entry via computer into QAD and recording on hard copy forms (work order issue, work order receipt, transfers, inventory browse)
  • Ensure proper documentation of work orders and inventory accuracy in production areas throughout the day.
  • Operate Electric Pallet Jack.
  • Effectively communicate with production personnel.
  • Assist production during periods of inactivity.
  • Maintain production areas orderly and good housekeeping.
  • Comply with food safety and quality assurance standards (GMP, HACCP, SQF, etc.).
  • Follow all Safety Guidelines and use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
What you need to have

  • Minimum 1 year experience in warehousing.
  • Knowledge in driving Electric Pallet Jack (Double Rider)
  • General understanding of computers and handheld RF equipment
  • Experience in building pallets and stock.
  • Must be able to work in a fastpaced manufacturing environment.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Bilingual (English/ Spanish) a plus
  • Shift Flexibility
Physical Demands/Work Environment
Manufacturing plant environment with varied temperatures including hot, cold, and freezer.

The work environment includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on high places, and/or exposure to chemicals in work setting.

Incumbents are frequently required to stand, walk, hear, bend, stoop, climb, crouch, kneel, reach overhead, pull, and push up to 50 pounds unassisted.
