    Role Overview

    The HR Director is pivotal in developing and executing human resources programs to support the company's strategic objectives. Reporting directly to the VP of HR, the HR Director will be responsible for executing HR operations, including employee relations, compensation and benefits, payroll, performance management, and compliance.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Develop and execute comprehensive HR strategies that are aligned with the overarching goals and vision of the company, forging collaborative partnerships with senior management to ensure that HR initiatives serve as catalysts for driving business success.
    • Oversee payroll processing to ensure accuracy and timeliness in all transactions to maintain employee satisfaction and operational efficiency.
    • Manage the company's compensation and benefits programs (401k, health, dental, visual and others), ensuring competitiveness and compliance with relevant regulations. Conduct periodic reviews and make recommendations for adjustments as needed.
    • Serve as a primary point of contact for guidance and support on employee relations matters, adeptly navigating through complex situations such as conflict resolution, performance improvement, and disciplinary actions with empathy, fairness, and professionalism.
    • Administer workers' compensation programs, including claims processing, risk assessment, and safety initiatives, to promote a safe work environment conducive to optimal productivity and employee well-being.
    • Maintain oversight of compliance with state and federal laws, including OSHA, EEO, ADA, FLSA, and other federal and state regulations, proactively implementing necessary adjustments to policies and procedures as dictated by evolving legal landscapes.
    • Generate consistent reporting packages, conduct in-depth data analysis, and identify emerging trends and patterns to inform strategic decision-making processes that contribute to the company's overarching objectives.
    • Develop and update HR policies and procedures to reflect industry best practices and emerging trends to ensure legal compliance and foster transparency, equity, and accountability across the company.
    • Exercise effective leadership and oversight of designated HR personnel, cultivating a collaborative, innovative, and high-performance work culture characterized by a relentless pursuit of excellence and continuous improvement.
    • Other duties and projects as assigned.
    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
    • 8+ years of HR generalist experience in multi-location companies, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity
    • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations, including OSHA and EEO requirements
    • Experience overseeing payroll, benefits, workers' compensation, employee relations, compliance, performance management, and policy development
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
    • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive decision-making
    • Strong computer proficiency required, including MS Office, HRIS, and other required systems
    • Relevant certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) desired
    • Overnight travel and ability to work beyond normal business hours is required.
