JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

University Libraries IT Support Specialist

The University Libraries is seeking an Information Technology (IT) Support Specialist to assist in planning and implementation of IT projects, assist in network and server implementation and documentation. This position will provide technical support for end-users, diagnose, research, and resolve end-user issues in a timely manner. The selected candidate will also train customers on the successful use of new devices and technologies.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Provide endpoint computing support for desktop systems (Windows, Mac and Linux).
Diagnose, research, and resolve routine end-user issues in a timely manner through established protocol and troubleshooting; escalate as necessary.
Communicate and translate technical information to non-technical end users; maintain communication and monitor incident through resolution.
Assist in the planning and implementation of IT projects.
Assist users in obtaining access to systems
Participate on committees, projects, University-wide teams

Position Requirements:

Minimum requirements include a High School Diploma and 2 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. This hybrid position typically requires at least 4 days on site, with the potential for one remote day, and is scheduled Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm.

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is:

$46, $67,300.00
