    Description

    The Technical Service Support Specialist will provide product support to customers and assistance to field service engineers. It includes phone/e-mail support with limited travel. Problem solving and identification of solutions is a primary function.


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    o Provide phone and e-mail technical support for customers

    o Primary point of contact for RMA protocols to include screening, quoting, authorization, disposition, shipments and invoicing

    o Provide support for Field Service Engineers including looking up part numbers, shipping parts, testing instruments or parts prior shipment, repairing products and follow up on customer issues

    o Assist with Customer Service scheduling

    o Triage service requests, provide instructions, supply quotes

    o Review and supply work orders to ensure job closing and customer satisfaction

    o Maximize the concepts of Lean Manufacturing

    o Other duties as assigned

    Requirements

    EDUCATION,


    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
    o This position requires a two year technical degree or relevant work experience.

    o Electrical, electronic, engineering type of degree is preferred.

    o Proficiency with general Microsoft windows applications.

    o Experience with microprocessors, sensitive digital and analog circuitry and sensors.

    o Strong technical problem solving and interpersonal communication skills.
