Description

The IT Business Solutions Reinsurance P&C Solutions department is responsible for managing the worldwide IT account for our Non-Life Reinsurance Underwriting and maintaining and developing the corresponding IT systems, specifically the Underwriting Platform. This platform is critical for Munich Re's most important field of business and supports the underwriting process for Non-Life business units globally. To strengthen our team, we are seeking a DevOps Specialist with a focus on Geo Spatial Services (GDS), which provides geospatial data and applications for analyzing insurance risks.

This position will be based in Munich.

Your Role:

  • Developing our Azure infrastructure to automate, monitor, and improve performance for our globally used core business applications hosted in Azure.
  • Collaborating with solution architects to support the mid-term evolution of the Geo Spatial Services (GDS) tool suite towards new cloud-based solutions.
  • Working with Service Delivery infrastructure services (Windows Server, Database, Backup & Restore, Networking), IT security, and IT Compliance to continuously improve the systems under your responsibility.
  • Optimizing the estate to reduce operating costs.
  • Collaborating with business units and Corporate Underwriting to plan and execute the release of new product versions.
  • Ensuring stable and secure operation of our Geo Spatial Services.
  • Providing third level support for the mentioned systems.
