Job DescriptionTRC is hiring an AR Associate for our client in the Bradenton area
The A/R Associate will be responsible for assisting the A/R Rep in the collection functions for
Durable Medical Equipment for all primary and secondary payers whether it is Commercial,
Managed Care, Medicaid or Medicare. Daily task are assigned by A/R Supervisor and include
research, running reports, updating spreadsheets, faxing and making follow-up calls to necessary
insurance companies.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Multi-tasks in various computer applications to gather billing and collection
information to perform collections.
2. Pulls EOB reports.
3. Verifies outstanding account balances.
4. Performs follow up as necessary and re-bills according to collection policy.
5. Enters call back notes into appropriate databases for future collection efforts and
inter-departmental communications.
6. Raises awareness on denial trends to management, with supporting data.
7. Raises awareness on pricing trends to management (short pays), with supporting data.
8. Reconciles open accounts to clearly establish patient responsibility.
9. Performs related duties as required or as assigned by supervisor.
10. Works closely with other departments to ensure reimbursement of claims.
11. Adheres to department expectations and turnaround times as set by management.
12. Adheres to department production and quality metrics as set by management.
13. Works minimum 40-hour work week with required overtime as business needs
dictate.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience/Technical Requirements
1. High School Diploma or equivalent
2. AA Degree preferred but not required
3. Good analytical skills and a high degree of accuracy
4. Proficiency in Windows environment, with emphasis on Word and Excel
5. Effective written and verbal communication skills
6. Experience with multiple billing software/system conversions beneficial
