Job Overview:
Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Follow recipes, presentation specifications, and proper food handling techniques
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work env
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role within a food service or restaurant setting
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary terminology
- Ability to handle knives and operate kitchen equipment safely
- Strong understanding of proper food handling procedures
- Experience in menu planning is a plus
- Certification from a culinary school or relevant training is advantageous
