Description
We are looking for a Facilities Inventory Specialist to join our growing team.

In this dynamic role, you will support the Facilities Inventory and Technical Operations departments by handling a variety of activities related to the purchasing of services, supplies and equipment under the direction of Facilities Management.

Oversees data driven projects related to long term strategies for parts storage and all processes related to FMM inventory logistics and compliance.

As a Facilities Inventory Specialist, a typical day might include the following:

Researches, evaluates and purchases services, supplies and equipment based on price, service, quality and warranty to meet the needs of the Facilities department and other internal customers.


Plans and implements spare parts supply chain optimization projects and devises strategies to optimize service levels and maintain supply-chain efficiency.

Tracks KPIs and reports on performance.

Assists in the development of procedures and best practices to promote continuous improvement in the department.


Provide support, information/guidance and assistance with the initiation, authorship, completion and follow-up of department documentation and records such as change control, investigation, root cause analysis, risk assessment, impact statement, corrective/prevention action plan, standard operating procedure/work instruction/job aid, periodic evaluation report, logbook, maintenance record/work order, lifecycle document, policies, etc.

Provides spatial efficiency recommendations based on analysis of current and projected future inventory levels and distribution.

Initiates purchase requisitions for equipment parts and components based on preventive and corrective maintenance requirements.


Evaluates orders for completeness, accuracy, lead time, risk management, compliance with budget, compliance with engineering specifications and to ensure that the cost codes used are in accordance with established policies.

Establishes and strengthens relationships with key suppliers and service providers through collaboration with Procurement.

Ensures financial transactions are completed in Oracle in a timely manner to support purchasing activities.

Maintains the parts inventory database, routinely running reports on parts usage.

Gathers, trends and analyzes data generated to improve inventory accuracy.


Collaborates strategically with external suppliers, internal customers and Procurement to ensure the availability of critical spare parts in emergency situations so that any down-time to manufacturing operations is minimized.


Investigates and resolves maintenance and operations stock problems by working with vendors, Maintenance and Operations and Procurement Services Group personnel.

Tracks and coordinates storage condition's and ensures appropriate stocking requirements are met.

Follows current good manufacturing practices (cGMPs).

Helps train and mentor others in the department and may lead ILC trainings when needed.

Leads projects, gathers team consensus and is able to present project status reports

Performs other tasks as assigned by the Facilities management.
To be considered for this position we prefer a BS/BA in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance or related field and the following minimum years of experience for each level:


Associate Facilities Inventory Specialist:
BS/BA


Facilities Inventory Specialist:
BS/BA with 2+ years of relevant experience


Senior Facilities Inventory Specialist:
BS/BA with 5+ years of relevant experience
Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Level will be determined based on qualifications relevant to the role.

Salary Range (annually) $58, $124,300.00
