    To learn more about Torch Technologies, please visit us at In anticipation of project funding, Torch Technologies, a 100% Employee-owned company, is currently seeking qualified electrical engineering professionals with a minimum of 10 years' experience to support hardware design and integration work for the Combat Capabilities Development Command (CCDC) Ground Vehicle Systems Center (GVSC) at Detroit Arsenal, MI.

    Initial tasking will be supporting a ground vehicle program in a GVSC Software-in-the-loop (SIL) integrating operational hardware and software platforms and sub-systems into a larger test to support product development, assessment, and integration into the Army Ground Vehicle Enterprise.

    A well-suited applicant will be a self-motivated individual capable of working independently and within a multi-disciplinary team with contractors and government employees.

    They must also possess good oral and written communication skills. Candidate will sit on site with the customer at GVSC. This position has the potential to grow into an Engineering Team Lead Position.

    Job RequirementsJob duties will include, but are not limited to:

    Managing the execution of the hardware design and integration process in the lab to include workflow and assignment of duties.

    Ensuring hardware team compliance with product and lab best practicesHardware/Software IntegrationDebugging issues with existing code basesDevelopment of automated testing processes and supporting toolsetsQualified candidates will have direct experience with the following:
    Experience with Electronic Control SystemsBroad Experience with Electronics and Digital Communication Buses (e.g. RS422, MIL-STD-1553, CAN, Ethernet, etc.)

    Experience Designing Embedded Systems/Software including PCB and firmwareExperience with Electrical/Electronics laboratory equipment and environmentProduct development experience and knowledgeVHDL and/or Xilinx FPGA experience is a plusQualified candidates will have an interest or experience in one of the following areas:
    Working with team-based Hardware and Software Development and Configuration Management ToolsHardware and Software IntegrationHardware interface testingOversight of the hardware design processDeveloping PCB designs in Altium, AutoCAD or SolidworksRe-engineering, T&E, or related experience with DoD Ground and weapon platforms is a plusEducation and

    Experience Requirements:
    B.S. or greater in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or other technical discipline is required. Relevant graduate degrees will be given preference.10+ years of direct hardware and firmware design5+ years of direct PLC designPrevious experience as an Electronics Lead will be given preferencePrevious experience in a Software-in the-Loop or Hardware-in-the-loop lab will be given preference
