Duties:


Typical work assignments include:


  • Working with other service managers and product owners to balance and prioritize services to meet overall customer requirements, constraints, and objectives.
  • Providing advice and input for Disaster Recovery, Contingency, and Continuity of Operations Plans.
  • Providing ongoing optimization and problemsolving support.
  • Promoting compliance and ensuring all personnel actions are taken in accordance with Federal personnel laws, regulations, and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) program policies.
  • Ensuring continuous analysis of CISA's complex systems and infrastructure to ensure the organization achieves and sustains the appropriate level of reliability in systems, services, and products.

To be considered mínimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the required experience for the respective grade level in which you are applying:

EXPERIENCE:

Experience must be Information Technology (IT)-related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:In addition to meeting the qualification requirement listed above, you must have at least one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower GS-grade level (or equivalent). Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Such experience is typically gained in the IT field or through the performance of work where the primary concern is IT.

You qualify for the GS-14 grade level if you have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-13 grade level (or equivalent) performing the following duties:

  • Exercising a full range of supervisory and personnel management authorities and responsibilities in directing the work of subordinate staff.
  • Performing functions related to Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) (e.g., availability, latency, performance, efficiency, change management, monitoring, emergency response, capacity planning).
  • Operating a Help Desk, Service Desk, or Operations Center (e.g., Service Operations, Network Operations Center (NOC), Technical Operations Center (TOC)).
