Essential Functions


Your daily contributions are key to shaping an environment where love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control are discovered anew by both our team and the elders we serve.


Responsibilities

  • Perform tree and shrub maintenance including planting, pruning, fertilizing, and watering.
  • Rakes and bags leaves.
  • Perform flower bed maintenance including soil preparation, planting, watering, and weeding. Remove snow and ice utilizing plow trucks, tractors, snow blowers, salt spreaders and hand shovels.
  • Perform lawn equipment maintenance including repairing and refinishing park benches and picnic tables
  • Assist in the collection and disposal of garbage and recyclables. Keep all lawn and garden tools in good repair.
  • When necessary, perform routine maintenance tasks as required.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

The employee is occasionally required to sit and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.


Position Type/Expected Hours

  • Full or parttime position with rotation shifts, including holidays and inclement weather.
  • No travel expected.

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
