- Overall responsibility for the accurate and timely closing of the monthly, quarterly, and annual books and records in accordance with US GAAP.
- Assist with the preparation of required SEC filings
- Review monthly manufacturing cost accounting entries (manufacturing and purchase price variances) to ensure booking in accordance with company accounting policies.
- Assess and evaluate the financial performance of the organization regarding longterm operational goals, budgets, and forecasts.
- Monitor inventory reports to ensure accuracy, resolve variances, and perform variance analysis, and financial and margin analysis.
- Lead, train, develop, and motivated accounting staff to maintain a high level of employee commitment and competence for sustained and selfreliant performance and achievement of departmental and organizational goals.
- Act as a strategic business partner to the senior executive leadership team.
- Develop and establish yearly financial objectives that align with the company's strategy.
- Ensure a strong system of internal controls exists and is properly monitored; lead efforts for SOX compliance as the company transitions to accelerated filer status
- The primary point of contact for external auditors during the yearend audit.
- Preparation and/or review of audit schedules
- Ad hoc analysis/projects
- 10+ years of experience desired
- Strong GAAP knowledge
- Manufacturing experience (cost accounting knowledge)
- Mix of finance/accounting experience
- Proven strong leadership skills
- SAP by Design
- Experience with a start-up company
- This role requires typing, sitting for extended hours, carrying weight, operating and lifting office equipment
- The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer

We're looking for a Controller to join our growing Accounting and Finance team.
This role will be critical in supporting our growth and will have a significant impact on our company, with the opportunity to work on multiple technical accounting projects, research to solve ambiguous problems, and implement novel accounting policies and procedures.
The ideal candidate must thrive in a fast-paced environment, be driven to research by curiosity, work cross-functionally, and be adaptable to changing responsibilities and priorities.
This position will report to the Chief Financial Officer.RESPONSIBILITES
Responsible for the day-to-day accounting operations ensuring compliance with the business' accounting policies and procedures.
