Duties:


  • Serves as Lead Security Guard for the US Army Counterintelligence Command, a onestar command.
  • In accordance with established requirements and procedures, presents platform and practical instruction to department of the army security guards.
  • Controls, prepares, issues identification badges, cards, and passes that allow access of visitors, consultants, foreign nationals, government agents, elective officials, media representatives, VIPs and contractor personnel on to the installation.

Conditions of Employment:


  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 60085, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on a T5 (or equivalentlevel) investigation with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
  • Temporary Duty (TDY) Travel may be required 10% or less of the time.
  • Must be willing to undergo a medical examination and meet minimum requirements IAW OPM qualification standards for Guard Series, 085. Personnel unable to meet minimum requirements will not be retained.
  • Must pass periodic medical examinations and required physical agility tests.
  • Must be willing to work irregular hours, shift, holiday, and weekend work.
  • Must qualify with firearm annually on the Military Police Firearms Qualification Course IAW AR Personnel found unable to qualify with firearms in two consecutive attempts will not be retained.
  • Must also be trained in the use of firearms semiannually and follow guidelines established and set forth in AR
  • Must be able to pass the Army Defensive Driver Training Course.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid state driver's license.
  • Employee must meet the requirements under the Lautenberg Amendment/Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968. See additional information for more details.
