The University of Applied Sciences for Technology and Business in Saarland (htw saar) is one of the most research-oriented universities of applied sciences in Germany.

Currently, around 6000 students are enrolled in the university's faculties of Architecture and Civil Engineering, Engineering, Social Sciences, and Economics.

The htw saar is internationally oriented, with a network of over 50 international university partnerships and active participation in international university networks, such as the European University Association.

The university also offers twelve binational degree programs in collaboration with the Université de Lorraine through the German-French University Institute (DFHI).

To strengthen the Embedded Robotics Lab, we are looking for a full-time, temporary
Research Associate (m/f/d), subject to the corresponding funding approval, for the project "ResCom - Resource-Sensitive Communication for Multimodal Human-Machine Interfaces in Industry 4.0 Scenarios" starting as soon as possible until March 31, 2027.


The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Project planning, project management, and project control
  • Independent execution and evaluation of scientific studies
  • Development and implementation of an application for process data acquisition in an industrial environment, including providing interfaces for integrating data streams from external systems
  • Derivation and development of a resourcesensitive, layered communication architecture
