Description

We are searching for a Clinical Ambulatory Services Representative II with Texas Children's Woodlands clinic - someone who works well in a fast-paced hospital setting.

In this position, you'll make routine decisions include taking action to prevent and reduce customer service complaints that could affect clinic patient flow.

Qualifications

H.S. Diploma or GED
2 years experience in customer service required
Experience in Healthcare and/or Pediatric experience preferred

Responsibilities

Performs patient registration procedures per department process
Communicates with patient, staff and providers regarding patient arrivals, delays and clinic processes
Obtains and verifies patient demographic data for each encounter
Verifies insurance benefits and identifies correct plan codes that drive reimbursement
Schedules new or follow up appointments for patients
Confirms patient appointments
Enters, batches and reconciles TCH charges daily
Reviews new referrals
Prepares the deposit and delivers to the appropriate location per department guidelines
Coordinates communications including phone calls, pages, faxes, etc. in a friendly, professional, and timely manner
Welcomes and interacts with all patients, families and visitors in a professional, timely, age appropriate, and culturally sensitive manner
Pre admits patients within 1 working day to 2 weeks in advance of appointment date in order to provide the highest possible customer service
