SkyTech Security is hiring for 2nd and 3rd shift Full-Time Security Officers in various Chicago Loop locations immediately

We have immediate openings for unarmed Security Officers at these locations.

The officer must be able to patrol a facility and/or man a post to serve as a general security presence.

The officer must exhibit good customer service skills, professional look/demeanor, has good communication skills, and is a team player.

The officer is a visible deterrent to client rule infractions, crime, detect suspicious activities, threats to property, and/or any life-threatening situations.

The officer must report all incidents, accidents, and or medical emergencies.

General Responsibilities:


  • Make periodic patrols to check for irregularities.
  • Preserve order and act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises.
  • Controls access to client site or facility.
  • Respond to incidents such as fire, medical, bomb threat, flooding, elevator emergencies, inclement weather, hazardous materials, etc.
  • Must understand emergency protocols.
  • Must be able to prepare logs and reports as required.
  • Provide administrative support such as answering telephone calls, delivering messages, and transferring telephone calls.
  • Can monitor CCTV screens.

Requirements:


  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be able to see and hear clearly.
  • Must be able to communicate verbally.
  • Must be able to write effectively.
  • Can stand and walk for prolong periods of time.
  • Can remain vigilant and is a stickler for detail.
  • Great customer service skills.
  • Works well independently & with others.
  • Profession demeanor and look.
  • The officer must be punctual and very reliable.
  • Some computer skills.
  • Minimal supervision.
  • Can remain on post until properly relieved.
  • Must have a valid PERC card and a copy of 20hour training certificate
  • Stable and consistent work history (at least 1 year in security field)
  • Must successfully pass a drug screen & criminal background check
  • Must have a valid State of Illinois ID or Driver's license
  • Must be able to provide a High School Diploma/GE
