The Opportunity

We are seeking a talented Systems Engineer III who will administer and perform patching on physical and virtualized Operating Systems within highly regulated PCI compliant environment under direct supervision.

Day in the Life

In collaboration with project teams, develop technical project plans & design documents, identify interdependencies, and scope out requirements for server patching and support while keeping security as a top priority.
Perform escalated infrastructure maintenance activities such as: patching, capacity planning, incident logging, monitoring, troubleshoot and resolve complex production problems while following industry best practices and ITIL standards.
With tenure and maturity, collaborate closely with network and security teams to identify root causes of multi-product/multi-environment problems, troubleshoot, and resolve in a timely manner to reduce business impact.
Utilize strong logical and analytical skills while maintaining poise and focus in high-stress situations to resolve issues efficiently.
Motivated to research new technologies that would positively impact the health of the overall infrastructure environment, and mentor junior engineers on best practices to foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Experience

BS in Computer Science / Computer Information Systems or equivalent degree, technical training, or equivalent experience can be substituted for degree.
5-7 years' experience with (Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory Server, and Microsoft O365.
Experience with Tanium Patch Management Software
3+ years' experience with virtualization technologies
Prior experience with cloud technologies required. Azure would be preferred.
PCI-DSS experience is a plus.
