This is a highly skilled position involving the control and operation of a skid steer with milling head/broom box attachment.

Experience with milling equipment/highway equipment preferred. Other duties to include operating a power broom, running grade control on milling machine, and flagging, and laboring when needed_****_

Job Description Summary_**-
_Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task.

_

_ __- Properly follow all company policies and OSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment._**
_ __- Report any problems to your manager._**
_ __- Assist construction / paving crew with various duties such as; shoveling and raking and running wheelbarrow._**
_ __- Signal operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment and movement of materials._**
_ __- Follow directions of manager as to daily tasks and expectations for each specific project or job site._**
_ __- May be called upon to run small power tools such as jack hammer._**
_ __- Dig, spread and level construction materials._**
_ __- Lift, carry and hold materials, tools and supplies._**
_ __- Assist in the placement, moving and dismantling of signs, barricades, cones and other traffic control devices._**
_ __- Perform other duties as assigned._**
_Requirements:_
-
Prior experience with asphalt milling/paving equipment
:

Operate equipment safely and efficiently
:

-
Thorough understanding of the paving industry including preparatory work, grades, drainage, paving patterns, aggregate size, job specifications, oil consistencies, compaction and other details related to asphalt paving
:

The operator is responsible for the efficient working condition of the equipment and is expected to perform minor servicing and maintenance or refer major problems to the supervisor
:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; and one to two years related asphalt and road construction experience.
