Become an All-Rounder in the Retail Industry with Eagle Bend's Abiturient Program for Trade Management Professionals


In the Abiturient Program for Trade Management Professionals at Eagle Bend, you will begin with a diverse commercial training that is as varied as the retail industry itself.

Gradually, you will gain experience in all areas of the company - from purchasing and sales to marketing and personnel management.

As a comprehensive further education, the Certified Trade Management Professional provides the necessary know-how at the level of a business administration degree.

Through practical training, you will acquire three state-recognized qualifications:

  • Retail or Wholesale and Foreign Trade Management Assistant
  • Training of Trainers (AdA)
  • Certified Trade Management Professional
After completing the 34-month Abiturient Program for Trade Management Professionals, you will have the opportunity to quickly advance to responsible positions in the retail industry


Possible entry-level positions include:

  • Department management
  • Market or branch management
  • Leadership positions in marketing, controlling, human resources, procurement, logistics, and at the point of sale


The Abiturient Programs in the retail industry are mainly completed during practical phases at one of the approximately 250 partner companies of the Akademie Handel in Bavaria (depending on where you apply).

Every two to three months, you will attend one to three-week study phases as a trainee, usually at a seminar location of the Akademie Handel closest to the partner company's training location.
