Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist chairside during procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments are prepared and used correctly.
- Utilize medical terminology and knowledge of dental procedures to effectively communicate with patients and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain aseptic technique and adhere to infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment for patients.
- Handle patient medical records and documentation accurately and securely, following HIPAA regulations.
- Utilize OpenDental software for scheduling appointments, managing patient information, and processing medical imaging.
- Perform patient assessments, including taking vital signs and assisting with medical imaging as needed.
- Collaborate with the dental receptionist to ensure smooth patient flow and provide excellent customer service.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in dental technology to provide the best possible care to patients.
