Job Description Summary


Responsible for providing a high level of responsive customer service and financial aid counseling to prospects, the Student Financial Aid Coordinator will support applicants, students, and their families working in collaboration with Director of Scholarships & Financial Aid and the OASL team.

Job Responsibilities


This role will be responsible for processing scholarships and grants for graduate students as well as participate on scholarship selection committees.

They will also provide a variety of advising, technical and administrative functions in the daily operations of the Penn Vet Financial Aid office using the latest technology and software.

As a member of the Office of Admissions & Student Life, they will actively participate in activities relative to that department, including recruitment and retention activities.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Fine Arts, and 2 to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Knowledge of Federal regulations and policies regarding financial aid.
  • Familiarity with federal loan programs and repayment plans.
  • Experience with Banner Systems.
  • Critical thinking skills, exceptional organizational skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, presentation skills.
  • Ability to prioritize competing deadlines and goals.
  • Ability to use Office and Excel to analyze data.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Preferred experience with graduate and professional students, especially health professional students.
  • Experience with Penn University Financial Aid Systems.
  • Experience with SmartSheet a plus.
