Description

• Assists with machine set up.
• Assists with dimensional inspections.
• Assists with detection of and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
• Participates in accomplishment of continuous improvement objectives for the department. Participates in the identification of problem areas and development of resolutions to address them.
• Completes all paperwork and timekeeping cards associated with the position.
• Maintains satisfactory performance and attendance.
• Work as a team member to aid all shifts and support personnel to operate to departmental standards including quality goals.
• Ability to perform job in a positive, courteous, and professional manner.
• Performs job in a safe manner by adhering to all safety policies and procedures.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Good manual dexterity required.
• Minimum of 1 year Press Brake operation experience required. Experience in metal machining or comparable proven mechanical aptitude.
• Must be able to read and understand training instructions, job instructions, and safety instructions, which are provided verbally and in written form in English.
• Ability to learn new skills, adapt to change and continuously look for improvements to processes.
• Learning to identify defects, analyze cause and resolve; and/or provide accurate information regarding problem to more experienced co-worker.
• Observes safety standards, follows safety rules, wear specified personal protective equipment.
• Maintains neat work area.
• Trains to quality measures and takes corrective action when necessary to maintain quality and production standards.
• Participates in performance improvement measures and tasks. Recommends improvements.
• Participates in training and is accountable for learning the material and information.
