The primary responsibilities of a BCBA include:

  • Conduct functional behavior assessments to identify the functions of challenging behaviors
  • Develop, implement, and oversee individualized behavior intervention plans based on the principles of ABA
  • Collect and analyze data to monitor progress and make necessary adjustments to intervention plans
  • Collaborate with families, teachers, and other professionals to ensure consistency and generalization of skills
  • Train and supervise Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and other professionals in implementing ABA techniques
  • Engage, inspire, and supervise staff as outlined by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board
  • Provide parent training and support to families of individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral concerns
  • Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in the field of ABA
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case conferences

Requirements:


  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Behavior Analysis, Education, or related field
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst License
  • Maintain current Arizona LBA licensure
  • Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience providing early and intensive behavioral intervention for children with developmental disabilities
  • Proven ability to establish professional relationships with persons of various social, cultural, economic, and educational backgrounds
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with individuals, families, and professionals
  • Demonstrate strength in interpersonal skills while working as a member of a team
  • Proven ability to conduct comprehensive assessments of skills and develop highquality and effective early intervention programs
  • Proficient in the understanding of Health Insurance Portability and Accounting Act (HIPAA)
  • Must present a clear background check
