The primary responsibilities of a BCBA include:
- Conduct functional behavior assessments to identify the functions of challenging behaviors
- Develop, implement, and oversee individualized behavior intervention plans based on the principles of ABA
- Collect and analyze data to monitor progress and make necessary adjustments to intervention plans
- Collaborate with families, teachers, and other professionals to ensure consistency and generalization of skills
- Train and supervise Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and other professionals in implementing ABA techniques
- Engage, inspire, and supervise staff as outlined by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board
- Provide parent training and support to families of individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral concerns
- Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in the field of ABA
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case conferences
Requirements:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Behavior Analysis, Education, or related field
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst License
- Maintain current Arizona LBA licensure
- Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience providing early and intensive behavioral intervention for children with developmental disabilities
- Proven ability to establish professional relationships with persons of various social, cultural, economic, and educational backgrounds
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with individuals, families, and professionals
- Demonstrate strength in interpersonal skills while working as a member of a team
- Proven ability to conduct comprehensive assessments of skills and develop highquality and effective early intervention programs
- Proficient in the understanding of Health Insurance Portability and Accounting Act (HIPAA)
- Must present a clear background check
