    Description

    Position Overview

    • Develop, suggest, and implement financial policies and procedures related to Department/Bureau finances at-large.
    • Responsible for determining, implementing, and reviewing Bureau/Department budgetary requests and grant management.
    • Lead and provide strategic guidance to entry-level managers and supervisors.
    • Oversee the administration and acquisition of Federal and State-funded programs, laws, rules, and regulations.
    • Collaborate with leadership on department-wide budgets and provide concise information for budget presentations.
    • Compile, analyze, and present annual budgets, including cash flow projections and financial report preparation.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is mandatory.
    • Six (6) years of experience in budget, finance, accounting, or related roles is necessary.
    • Four (4) years of previous management or supervisory experience is essential.

    Education Requirements

    Degrees awarded outside of the U.S. (except U.S. territories and Canada) must be credentialled by designated organizations.

    Strategic leadership, problem-solving, financial planning, and budgeting skills.

    Strong communication and data analysis abilities.

    • Must meet minimum qualifications for the position.
    • Identify as a veteran on the employment application.
