JOB SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Recreation Supervisor, the Athletic Instructor shall be responsible for the instructional phase of any athletic or sport-oriented program, enforcing Park District policies regarding programs, conducting a safe and beneficial program, and act in the best interest of the Park District while on duty.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide outstanding customer service to our internal and external guests by providing friendly, responsive, courteous and helpful service.
Conduct a safe and educational program.
Develop a lesson plan for the program.
Supervise any athletic assistants employed in the program.
Keep Recreation Supervisor informed of the progress of the league.
Be responsible for the general conduct at any facility or park at which the program meets.
Be responsible for all equipment used in program.
To be cooperative and develop a good relationship with the public.
To enforce the rules and regulations as set forth by the Park District Board of Commissioners pertaining to all recreation programs.
Solicit comments, suggestions and recommendations from the participants in the program and relay them to the Recreation Supervisor.
Adheres to all policies and procedures as outlined in the Safety Manual.
Other related job duties as assigned.

Expertise and knowledge in Basketball, Football, Soccer, Volleyball, and Dodgeball

EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

High school graduate and at least 18 years of
