JOB SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Recreation Supervisor, the Athletic Instructor shall be responsible for the instructional phase of any athletic or sport-oriented program, enforcing Park District policies regarding programs, conducting a safe and beneficial program, and act in the best interest of the Park District while on duty.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide outstanding customer service to our internal and external guests by providing friendly, responsive, courteous and helpful service.
  • Conduct a safe and educational program.
  • Develop a lesson plan for the program.
  • Supervise any athletic assistants employed in the program.
  • Keep Recreation Supervisor informed of the progress of the league.
  • Be responsible for the general conduct at any facility or park at which the program meets.
  • Be responsible for all equipment used in program.
  • To be cooperative and develop a good relationship with the public.
  • To enforce the rules and regulations as set forth by the Park District Board of Commissioners pertaining to all recreation programs.
  • Solicit comments, suggestions and recommendations from the participants in the program and relay them to the Recreation Supervisor.
  • Adheres to all policies and procedures as outlined in the Safety Manual.
  • Other related job duties as assigned.

JOB SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Expertise and knowledge in Basketball, Football, Soccer, Volleyball, and Dodgeball

EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

High school graduate and at least 18 years of

Pay:
$ $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 per week
