The training to become a masseur and medical bath attendant opens up a variety of professional fields. Graduates of the training can work in the rehabilitation and health sector in spa resorts or in leisure and wellness facilities after successfully completing the program.


Start of training: annually in September; free of charge

In the 2-year vocational training to become a masseur and medical bath attendant, you will acquire in-depth anatomical and physiological knowledge. Other topics covered in the training include prevention and rehabilitation, classic massages and special forms, as well as general and specific pathology. You will also learn how to practically apply different therapy methods, such as electrotherapy, light therapy, and radiation therapy. Upon request, a further training to become a certified wellness therapist can be completed during or after the training.

In addition to theoretical and practical lessons, you will also complete a clinical internship during the training. This will give you a comprehensive understanding of the diverse applications of the profession and prepare you for your career. After completing the 6-month internship following the training, you will receive the professional qualification as a state-certified masseur and medical bath attendant.
