Barling is one of the most diverse employers in Germany.

Every year, we are looking for over 5,000 apprentices in 50 different professions who want to grow and improve with us.

We are currently seeking candidates for a 3.5-year apprenticeship as an Electronics Technician for Industrial Engineering (m/f/d) at our location in Nuremberg.

The vocational school and training workshop are also located in Nuremberg.

At DB, we have a wide range of opportunities for electronics technicians.

Depending on your interests and the availability of apprenticeship positions, you can complete your training as an electronics technician on our trains, on our rails and power lines, at our train stations, or at the DB energy supplier, where you can contribute to driving the energy transition forward.


What to expect in your apprenticeship:

  • Your training will offer a lot of variety, as you will rotate between working in the company, the training workshop, and vocational school on a weekly basis.
  • You will never be alone in your learning, as you will have dedicated trainers and will also learn alongside other apprentices, forming lifelong friendships.

At our power conversion plants:

  • Become a driver of the energy transition with us.
  • You will supply our trains, train stations, and cars with electricity and help us become more environmentally friendly.

On our rails and power lines:

  • You will spend a lot of time outdoors, exploring our rail network and checking if signals (traffic lights for our trains), switches,
