Industrial Maintenance Tech

2nd and 3rd shift


REQUIREMENTS:

Post-secondary education and/or technical trade certificate.

  • Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics, and basic electrical repair (minimum three years).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and schematic diagrams.
  • Ability to read and understand written instructions.
  • Ability to perform intermediate math skills.
  • Ability to work with mínimal supervision. Demonstrated mechanical skills/aptitude.
  • Experience with computer programs.

OVERALL JOB FUNCTION:


PRIMARY DUTIES:


  • Achieve scissor lift certification.
  • Operate a scissor lift.
  • Achieve forklift certification.
  • Operate a forklift.
  • Achieve lockout/tagout certification.
  • Ability to setup and operate equipment and/or tools needed to perform preventive maintenance tasks and corrective repairs.
  • Perform preventive maintenance activities on production equipment, production support equipment, building and grounds.
  • Keep record of preventive maintenance activities performed.
  • Assist in troubleshooting issues with production equipment, production support equipment, building and grounds.
  • Assist in performing corrective repairs to production equipment, production support equipment, building and grounds.
  • Keep record of corrective repairs to production equipment, production support equipment, building and grounds.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties and maintain a safe work area.
  • Assist in training new employees.
  • Carry out special projects that are assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:


  • Standing: Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Bending: Must be able to bend to floor.
  • Reaching: Must be able to reach forward and above head.
  • Lifting: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Manual Dexterity: Must be able to perform repetitive hand movements.
  • Vision: Must be able to clearly read written instructions.
  • Hearing: Must be able to communicate with coworkers.
  • Speech: Must be able to communicate with coworkers.
