The Pre-Sales Technician is the primary technical resource for the sales force.
Pre-sales technical are responsible for actively driving and managing the solution evaluation stage of the sales process, working in conjunction with the sales team to qualify project requirements meet Baxi solutions portfolio.
Working closely with the customer and Specification sales teams to create detailed bespoke system designs from concept to delivery.Building close working relationships with external sales teams and their customers, to determine the clients project goals and on-going operational needs.
Working from opportunities generated by the Commercial Sales Teams, and Pre-Sales Technical team.Management of the CRM system to ensure that all opportunities are correctly updated and available for the Specifier and Sales Team to manage through quotation stages.
On a daily basis you'll be responsible for, but not limited to :To represent the sales force in a professional manner and handle a range of enquiries from customers, to determine heating and hot water needs to meet specific project requirements.
The generation of standardized and project bespoke heating schematics for Commercial Heating and Hot Water systems for specifiers, consultants and Design and Build Contractors.
Provide system detailed product lists to meet specific solutions assisting the installer/contractor with legislative compliance in-line with the departments SLA's.
Provide product sizing and dimensioning services of Baxi products to provide the overall solution.Working closely with the clients to produce detailed designs that meet the project requirements.
To provide a follow up service to clients regarding technical enquiries relating to the specific projects and company products.
Provide initial technical proposal for submission to clients.
Where required support the sales teams in presenting proposals to clients
On-site survey of customers existing properties to gather project critical information for detailed proposals to be based.
To be able to create and manage spreadsheets using Excel for data capture and update as necessary, create and maintain document control systems as required.
Keep up to date with UK & Ire legislation and product technologies within the Heating and Hot Water sector.Ensure the progress of each opportunity is captured within Baxi's CRM system at each stage of the sales process.
Generate quotations from client tender documentation / Project Specifications and identify opportunities for up-selling of Baxi Products.
About you:
We want to make sure you're set up for success in our mission. To be successful in your application you'll need to have experience;
Ideally educated to HNC level in building services or higher.
A proven track record of technical competence within the HVAC industry
Formal training and experience of Computer Aided Design systems, ideally AutoCAD & Revit.
Proven project management experience and an ability to apply technical knowledge in a commercial context.
Experience with CRM Systems
A fundamental understanding of the 18th Edition Installation and Wiring Regulations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively to all levels both within and external to the organization.
Highly numerate to analyze and communicate effectively.You will have demonstrable experience in Mechanical and Electrical building services within commercial properties.
An appreciation for renewable technologies with a knowledge of ASHP heating systems and requirements for transitioning from fossil fuel solutions.
In-depth knowledge of UK legislative requirements for new build properties, including Building Regulations, SBEM, Gas Safe & F-GasYou will have a natural collaborative working style, nurturing both internal and external key relationships to drive high quality deliverables
Knowledge of district heating systems and building services experience advantageous.
