Cost Analyst - DISA BCFMA

This position is 100% remote; however, applicant must be within 50-mile commuting distance of Ft. Meade, MD. In-office team collaboration occurs monthly.

Overview:

Cost Analyst to provide cost estimation/analytical support by developing cost models and implementing cost estimating methodologies to advise Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) programs on cost management activities and decision making.

Applicant must have an Active Secret Security Clearance and/or be able to secure an Interim Secret clearance.

Essential Job Functions:

Develop lifecycle cost estimates, economic analyses, independent and component cost estimates, independent government cost estimates, analyses of alternatives, cost benefit analyses, and business case analyses for information technology programs.
Formulate and/or assist in the preparation of cost benefit analysis briefings for senior leadership in support of new IT systems or enhancements to existing systems.
Provide analysis support and develop, update, maintain and deliver program cost analysis documentation to DISA for program reviews and major milestone decisions.
Participate in working groups with program offices and engineering teams.
Provide reviews and input on the accuracy and integrity of cost analysis requirements description, acquisition program baselines, and other acquisition and costrelated documents.
Provide analysis on financial execution metrics for prior year estimates as needed.
Conduct market research to determine bestcase acquisition strategies.

Skills/Requirements:

Expert knowledge of Excel to include advanced functions.
Experience in Automated Cost Estimating Integrated Tools (ACEIT) or equivalent cost estimating software.
Minimum of Bachelor's degree; preferably with a mathematical/statistical background.
Ability to work proactively and collaborate effectively with colleagues located at geographically separate/remote locations.
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally to those at all levels of an organization.
