The Work


This position is for a First Line Manager for IRAD projects developing core simulation and training capabilities in partnership with commercial gaming engines.

Responsibilities include coordinating recruitment, developing training plans, working with employees to develop career plans and employee performance monitoring and reviews.


As an Integrated Engineering Manager, you will be expected to facilitate the deployment and use of best practices, tools, and processes on our programs and work with the cross-functional stakeholders to ensure projects are staffed properly and the organization's staff is meeting all business commitments.

Basic Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related engineering discipline, with 9 years or more of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Master's degree
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and behaviors that align with the Full Spectrum Leadership Imperatives
  • Knowledgeable in Systems Engineering Processes and Tools
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Experience planning and coordinating systems/software/hardware development in a teamoriented environment

Desired Skills:


  • Thorough understanding of program, functional, and process metrics including Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • Experience with Cost Account Management (CAM)
  • Prior experience in the development, integration, and deployment of training systems
  • Leveraged Agile tenets in the execution of the development of software intensive systems, inclusive of driving development of Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Hardware, and Test Engineering work products including usage of Atlassian tool suite
  • Prior customer engagement experiences requiring communication of technical concepts to external stakeholders

Security Clearance Statement:
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely:
Part-time

Remote Telework:

The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.


Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.

These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.


Schedule for this Position:4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
