An Off-Campus Work-Study position - MUST have a Work-Study Award
We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic college studentswith work-study eligibility to join our team as Teaching Assistants at STEM isChild's Play Foundation. As a Teaching Assistant, you will support our STEMprograms and provide assistance to the lead instructors in delivering engagingand interactive learning experiences to children. This is an excellentopportunity to gain valuable teaching experience, inspire young minds, and makea positive impact in the field of STEM education.
Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with lead instructors to assist in the delivery of STEMlessons and activities for children in elementary and middle school.
· Support the implementation of hands-on experiments, projects, anddemonstrations to enhance understanding and engagement.
· Assist in maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment for allparticipants.
· Provide individualized attention and guidance to students, answeringquestions and clarifying concepts as needed.
· Facilitate small group activities and encourage collaborative learningamong students.
· Assist with the setup and organization of materials and equipmentrequired for each session.
· Help monitor and document student progress, behaviors, and participationduring sessions.
· Assist in managing classroom discipline and ensuring adherence toprogram rules and policies.
· Collaborate with other teaching assistants and staff members to ensuresmooth program operations.
· Attend staff meetings and training sessions to enhance teaching skillsand stay updated on program guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications Qualifications:
Currently enrolled college student with work-study eligibility.
Passion for STEM education and a desire to inspire and engage young learners.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children and team members.
Basic understanding of STEM concepts and principles.
Experience working with children in a tutoring, mentoring, or camp setting is preferred.
Dependable and punctual, with the ability to commit to the assigned schedule.
