Duties:


  • Serves as a Facility Operations Specialist providing administrative oversight of the organization's facilities program to facilitate the lifecycle management of facility projects.
  • Supports all organizational points of contact with the tracking of maintenance requests, job orders, and facilities construction/services.
  • Administers and maintains the facilities project management system to track/prioritize work requests and ongoing facility management issues.
  • Maintains and analyzes data resulting from facilities assessments and prepares/provides reports to management on results of assessments essential to pursuing military construction projects.
  • Maintains the Space Management Program ensuring the Command is in compliance with directives, regulations, public law and other policies and guidelines.
  • Serves as the logístical coordinator and primary hand receipt holder for the SSF Chief, assuring accountability of all assigned Government property within the office.

  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.

  • Business travel required up to 10% of the time.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain and retain a valid state issued driver's license.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain and retain a government motor vehicle operator's license.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain and retain a forklift operator license.
  • Medical examination required prior to hiring and annually thereafter.
  • Must be physically able to wear safety/personal protective equipment.
  • Incumbent must be able to lift at least 50 pounds or more.

Term Appointment NTE
  • Position will be filled as a Term Appointment NTE 13 Months and may be made permanent. Term appointments may be extended beyond of six (6) years, up to eight (8) years. With DoD approval, Term appointments may be extended beyond eight (8) years.

  • General Experience: Must have three years of progressively responsible general work experience with one year of that experience equivalent to the NH01 or GS04 grade level, which includes: (1) Reviewing, evaluating, or interpreting established facilities regulations/procedures to execute assigned facility projects or programs; (2) analyzing organizational work requests to ensure processing of required documentation for facility maintenance work orders or requests; and; (3) Developing and/or implementing procedures which involve building operations, building services, safety programs, or space and utility management for federal government facilities. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH01 or GS04).

  • I have successfully completed a full four (4) year course of study leading to a Bachelor's Degree

  • I have the general experience as described above, but less than three (3) years; and I have some collegiate education, but less than the required four (4) years. I have computed the percentage of the requirements that I meet, and the total is at least 100%. (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 36. Then, divide your semester hours of education by 120. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100% to qualify.)
