What will you do?

You will assist engineers and scientists in developing new or updated electronics and electromechanical systems or components for genetic analysis instruments.
You will set up electronic systems and devices, and assemble and connect system components.
You will troubleshoot, test, modify, and repair, malfunctions in circuitry in existing electronic products, equipment, and controls.
You will assist in electronic component layouts and create schematics for PCBAs.
You will assist in the general procurement of components and hardware for the engineering development team.

Education & Experience Requirements

Capable of hand soldering surface mount components as small as 0201 with magnification.
THIS IS A MUST
At least five years of experience with electronic experience microelectronics / semiconductor work
Ability to understand electrical schematics/diagrams, mechanical drawings, as well as written instructions and specifications.
Experienced in PCB rework.
Capable of crimping small connector terminals
Experience in routing wiring in instruments and creating wire harnesses from scratch.
Knowledge of how to use a multimeter and oscilloscope to troubleshoot PCBAs.
Experience with using MS Office software such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Good communication skills (written and verbal).
The ability to work with team members across disciplines as well as good troubleshooting skills, creative thinking, and a positive attitude is a must.
Willing to learn to use a business spend management (BSM) tool such as Coupa to procure electronic and mechanical hardware and manage payment.
