SUMMARY OF POSITION:


MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Content Production and Storytelling

  • With an emphasis on creating highly creative, engaging content, serve as the primary writer and editor for all written content for the association.
  • Execute a content strategy that aligns with ACCA's mission, values, and goals, emphasizing brand storytelling and voice consistency across all platforms.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify storytelling opportunities and develop and revitalize content that supports marketing initiatives, events, and advocacy efforts.
  • Design graphics that support ACCA's brand strategy and tone.
  • Identify, set up, and conduct interview opportunities with staff, volunteers, and other external stakeholders for the purpose of generating authentic, compelling content.
  • Work within the marketing and communications team to produce content that highlights the impact of ACCA's work, the successes of members, and the value of the HVACR industry.
  • Under the guidance of the Director of Communications, Marketing, and Membership Engagement, coordinate magazine content:
  • Collect all content from writers and staff members
  • Produce original, engaging, and creative content
  • Organize all content
  • Edit all content to ensure it is engaging and supports the ACCA voice
Social Media and Member Engagement

  • Disseminate engaging content throughout ACCA's social media channels and Contractor Forum.
  • In support of ACCA's larger content strategy, foster member engagement and discussion on ACCA's Contractor Forum.
  • Monitor and respond to user comments and engagement on all social media channels.
Analysis

  • Analyze content performance metrics and use insights to make recommendations to the overall content strategy and execution across a variety of platforms.
  • Stay uptodate with industry trends, advancements, and competitor content to ensure ACCA remains a leading voice in the HVACR community.

TRAVEL:
Approximately 10 travel days per year


QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Education/Certification Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience Level:
  • 3+ years of experience in content creation, marketing, and storytelling, preferably in a similar industry or an association.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Fluency in AP Style.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with content management systems, project management systems, social media platforms, and analytics tools.
  • Proficiency in SEO practices and content optimization.
  • Other Skills:
  • Creative thinker with the ability to see the bigger picture and propose new ideas for content and storytelling initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of content marketing strategies and how to measure their effectiveness.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fastpaced, deadlinedriven environment.
