Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• This teacher should be able to teach all middle and upper school mathematics courses up to and including knowledge of Calculus and Statistics.
• Possess extensive knowledge of mathematics curriculum design that includes experience working in cross-curricular contexts and are comfortable collaborating with colleagues across teams.
• Teachers in the Seacrest Mathematics Department implement a balanced program that offers students the best in traditional learning techniques while providing instruction in other technological resources.
• This teacher will also serve as a small group advisory teacher. The advisory role serves as the first point of contact for parents, and they strengthen the relationship between the school and the family.
• In addition to teaching and advising, Seacrest faculty lead significant out-of-the-classroom activities like coaching a sport or a competitive academic team. Common Qualification Requirements:
  • Candidates must have the desire and ability to develop meaningful and productive relationships with highly motivated students from diverse backgrounds.
  • This teacher and advisor should plan to be an integral component of the students' lives, in and out of the classroom, and to collaborate with colleagues on grade-level teams and as a member of the Mathematics Department.
  • A bachelor's degree (or higher) in mathematics or mathematics education.
