JOB SUMMARY


This position is responsible for performing a variety of computer entry tasks including but not limited to: recording, reporting and editing feed and forage results, summarize data in excel, update customer account information, answer the telephone, assist customers over the front desk, various office duties, and assisting in the preparation of feed and forage samples for testing.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Assist customers with questions
  • Assist with creating, updating, and maintaining customer records
  • Answer telephone
  • Responsible for data entry
  • Summarize data in excel
  • Prepare UPS/USPS packages
  • Prepare and send supplies to customers
  • Log in and prepare samples for testing
  • Record and report feed and forage results
  • NIR Analysis & Editing
  • Assisting in other departments as needed
  • Pick up daily mail (samples) as needed
  • Light cleaning duties as needed
  • Backup for supervisor
  • Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or GED _required_
  • Must have working experience with excel programs, _required_
  • Previous customer service experience (12 years), _preferred_
  • Associates Degree (Agricultural/Science field or business related), _preferred_
  • Previous experience in agricultural field (12 years), _preferred_

LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, AUTHORIZATIONS REQUIRED

  • Valid driver's license and good driving record

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Work is performed largely in a production style environment with high noise level (i.e. grinders, computers, telephones, printers and customers)

  • Will be exposed to feed, forage, dust, molds, strong odors, and allergens (i.e. peanuts) on a regular basis
  • Must wear personal protective equipment in assigned areas (provided)
