Description
The Chief of Staff role directly reports to the VP of HR, supporting the Chief People Officer, and is responsible for leading critical cross-functional projects to ensure the CPO is focused on high-impact strategic initiatives for NEFCU.
The role requires strong critical thinking skills to proactively address challenges impacting the human resources function.
Responsibilities:
- Partner and lead human resources initiatives, operating at both organizational and tactical levels to streamline workflows and align internal processes effectively.
- Manage initiatives and programs end-to-end, ensuring timely and relevant communication to stakeholders.
- Establish relationships with midlevel managers to enhance business understanding and team support.
- Drive project and program management, conducting team meetings and ensuring accountability for action items.
- Collaborate with HR team members on business function initiatives and implement successful practices.
- Research and implement innovative processes and technologies to enhance HR operations.
- Foster alignment across business functions by connecting key stakeholders and facilitating effective communication.
- Support CPO with internal communications and presentations, reflecting inclusivity and diversity values.
Recommended Experience:
- 5-8 years' experience in operations, product/program management, strategy, or related fields.
- Strong background in resourcing/staffing management and regular interaction with the C-suite.
- Proven ability to prioritize and drive multiple projects simultaneously with data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, adept at handling complexity and limited resources efficiently.
- Experience in financial planning and building partner-centric strategies.
- High emotional intelligence, integrity, and confidentiality management skills.
- Additional HR skills like talent acquisition and benefits management are advantageous.
