FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION:

  • Creates and maintains programmatic and technical documentation to ensure efficient planning and execution.
  • Provides technical guidance to software engineering team and collaborates with Systems Engineering team in overcoming technical obstacles.
  • Develops serviceoriented architecture designs as needed.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education: BA/BS in Technical, Engineering or Management field. Master's degree can be substituted as 4 years of experience.
  • Experience: 20+ years of technical experience, of which includes at least five years of specialized experience as a software architect in the technologies outlined below.
  • Desired Certification(s): MCAD (_M_icrosoft Certified Application Developer)_ or equivalent certification such as the Microsoft Certified Professional Developer / MCPD and / or Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS), and AWS Cloud Architecture Certifications are highly desired
  • Security clearance level:
FAA Specific Clearance (Comparable to Public Trust)

  • Skills and abilities:
Good communication, problem solving, ability to be self-guided and work independently

  • Location:
Onsite at the FAA in Washington DC or in suburban northern Virginia or Maryland at a GDIT location.

The likely salary range for this position is $177,650 - $240,350. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.

Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
