FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION:

Creates and maintains programmatic and technical documentation to ensure efficient planning and execution.
Provides technical guidance to software engineering team and collaborates with Systems Engineering team in overcoming technical obstacles.
Develops serviceoriented architecture designs as needed.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education: BA/BS in Technical, Engineering or Management field. Master's degree can be substituted as 4 years of experience.
Experience: 20+ years of technical experience, of which includes at least five years of specialized experience as a software architect in the technologies outlined below.
Desired Certification(s): MCAD (_M_icrosoft Certified Application Developer)_ or equivalent certification such as the Microsoft Certified Professional Developer / MCPD and / or Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS), and AWS Cloud Architecture Certifications are highly desired
Security clearance level:

FAA Specific Clearance (Comparable to Public Trust)

Skills and abilities:

Good communication, problem solving, ability to be self-guided and work independently

Location:

Onsite at the FAA in Washington DC or in suburban northern Virginia or Maryland at a GDIT location.

The likely salary range for this position is $177,650 - $240,350. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.

Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
