Prior Aerospace/Manufacturing preferredJOB DESIGNATIONThe Procurement Manager leads the staff and the procurement activities within a business unit.
Plans, coordinates, and directs various complex procurement and material processes from the initial proposal efforts through thedelivery of the end product.
Ensures that the procurement procedures are in compliance with government laws (domestic/international), regulations, andmanagement objectives.JOB CORE RESPONSIBILITIESManages supplier cost, quality, and delivery, driving resolution within the site team and, where necessary, escalating for additionalsupport; implement actions to resolve supplier non-conformance issues.
Supports sourcing of new products and new productintroduction activities in line withpolicies, processes, and strategy as assigned.
Organizes, directs and implements cost reduction activities to ensure maximum return to the division for minimum expendituresImplements processes to manage risk within the supply chain and monitors procurement procedures to comply with government laws(domestic/international), regulations, and company policyManages contractual differences between purchase order requirements and supplier performance; establishes contractual obligations,while ensuring compliance with laws and truth in negotiationsRaises orders and expedite deliveries to support site manufacturing needs; support and implement inventory reduction actions to meetinventory goals.
Participates in site-specific procurement and supplier quality development when required including but not limited towhen materials or services procured are unique to the site or to support new program introduction.
Monitors the changing marketplaceand work-around plans to avoid negative impact on corporate cost and delivery performance objectivesPlans tactics and strategies for negotiations of subcontracts to maintain expenditures within program material budget limitationDevelop and deploy (in conjunction with Division and group teams)
Procurement processes and practices to drive continuousimprovement and aligned activities across
Bachelor's degree is required in supply chain, procurement |Year?s Experience: min 7 years of experience in manufacturing and supply chainREQUIRED
SKILLS:
Excellent facilitation and project management skills with the ability to lead the procurement team and drive tasks to completionKnowledge of procurement best practices and experience with managing tight development program deadlines inaerospace/manufacturing environmentUnderstanding of contracts, compliance, and government laws (domestic/international) relating to procurementExperience negotiating license contracts with a track record of success negotiating with a variety of suppliersExcellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to drive tasks to completionProficient in Microsoft Office Suite and database management tools
WORK AUTHORIZATION:
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements; therefore, a ?US Person? as defined by 22C.F.R is required. U.S. Citizenship/Permanent Resident is required for most positions.
